Instrumentals, what is now called beats, are a mandatory to any fresh or established artist in the music world. There is no way for any artist to survive without having to buy beats one time or another. As you listen to the radio, all the songs that you hear are only possible because an artist purchased beats. I am not sure if you are an rapper, but if you are, how would you expect to create your tracks if you never had access to get a backing instrumental for your tracks? Wouldn't it be pretty boring to listen to just your vocals, with the possible white noise in the background? Think about this.

Ever since the current rise in r&b the need of instrumentals have risen to an all time high and so have the rise of producers. The main problem that comes into play is that most upcoming artist seem to feel cocky (not saying that you are), but this has come to be fax. Upcoming artists no longer feel that they should have to buy beats and that they should be given to them to "Support Their Grind". This current state of mind will disappear hopefully sooner than later, but it has already started to damage the music industry.

Upcoming artist no longer purchase beats, but rather record over "industry" beats ( beats that industry artists have already made hit tracks to). This activity has started to saturate the industry and therefore has created a lot of copy cats. Barely is there a concept of "Uniqueness" anymore, but yet these same artists want to place their mark on the industry.

Being that there is a wide range of producers now coming up from out of nowhere, there is no reason for artist to have to sound like another. The wide variety of styles by these upcoming producers are more than enough to help keep the music industry alive and growing, but these rappers have to first recognize that they must invest in their craft. Nothing done in this life is done for free, and even if you received it for "free" it only works well for you if you implement work upon that free "service" or gift.

Of course no one can force an artist to buy beats. They can definitely take it upon his/herself and learn to produce beats, but this process is time consuming and not likely to occur. So what should be done? Listen to the new cd's. Do you like what you hear? Some you might like, others you might hate, so why not make a change. Why not produce your own form of music and your own lyrical justice? Never Settle for the Norm and always look forward to building on your craft. Be aware that you have the power to create change, and with that power comes the responsibility to do so.

If your an upcoming artist and you want to make that investment in your career and place your mark on the music world - buy beats today.
