Most people would love the chance to be able to say they are a model. The reality of it is though that modeling is only for those that are blessed with good luck! First up, it's down to mother nature- how fortunate you were in the looks department. If you could get nice hair, straight teeth, a lovely smile- and a figure that is like no other, then you would be a perfect candidate for a modelling career.
Modelling is about confidence, self-esteem fashion know how. You need to know all about the latest trends of fashion, what's in and what's not. You need to be able to stand up with your head held high and go to interviews and practically sell yourself to every single potential employer you contact with regards to work. When you think about being a model you need to know that it really is a cut-throat industry. You need to make sure that you show to people that you have what it takes. When you attend interviews with agencies, the only thing that is going to make you stand out from the other candidates is your face, your appearance and your words.
Modelling is all about having a positive attitude. You need to be able to have a smile even when you are sad, you need to have many different appeals to the industry. Rock and roll, sweet innocence, classy fashion chick from the catwalk. There are so may types of modeling gigs to try out and take part in. If you are one of the lucky models that is able to make it, then you will shine and become a household face! Think what makes you different to Kate Moss? Luck, personality, good looks and a great regime for your personal hygiene, appearance and makeup will all help you in this cut-throat industry.
Don't enter into it if you really don't have the intention to be someone. Furthermore, remember modeling is not for those that go weak at the knees with the smallest comment about their appearance. Many a model has turned to starve themselves because they thought that someone got the job because they were thinner, prettier- or better looking than them. You need to be confident, outgoing and above all, happy with your appearance. Remember, no one is perfect and modelling is not an industry for everyone. If you are not able to face the music when you want to learn how to be a model, then perhaps you are thinking about the wrong career path!
